My first family holiday when I got back from Korea was a geatway to the Groot Winterhoek. I check one of my favorite sites “Budget Getaways” and settled on this mountain escape.
We stayed at Coen’s House, a stone and clay farm house, which is high in the mountains and in the distance looks towards the Cederberg. The house is on a Protea Farm which makes for a beautiful and colourful landscape and there are some inviting dams scattered around that you can swim in. The house was lovely and big (sleeping up to 8 people and even our dog), fully equipped and even had a cozy indoor fireplace (perfect for the chilly nights).
